Just need a question answered. Recently, i had my spoon headers/carsound cat installed. And for some reason, whenever i hit around 7k rpm, theres this weird hissing sound coming from probably the engine..a friend says its coming from the feet area. what could be wrong? any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Sorry for the scrub question n all..but how could i solve this?

 

x 3 or its the engine handling more air with the spoon header.

 

start the car and feel around all all the places where the pipe is bolted together. you should be able to feel exhaust gases puffing out if there is a leak. a quick fix would be to get some new gaskest for the leaking flanges.

 

took the car to a muffler shop...they said there was no leak and nothing wrong. but still, whenever i hit around 7000 rpm that noise is still there. any other possible problems?

 

Not Intake noise is it? The Spoonies can't make that much difference to the induction noise (Music). Or can they?

Did you have it a 7K while they were looking........ Could still be the exhaust.

make sure theres the correct donut gasket between header/cat and flat gasket between cat/exhaust. You will see black smoke traces if these a leak.

 

my engine sounds more raspy with my 5zigen exhaust but there is no leak...just my .02

 

CHECK YOUR TIRE!!!! I think you got a flat....j/k
check all your vacuum lines and make sure your intake tube or whatever you have are tite
