Default CAI for 5th Gen Accord Question

I bought this at a local auction today with a lot of other stuff, I want to put it on Ebay, but I thought I would check here to see if the markings are correct. It says it is a Ractive SFA9497 which should fit a 94 to 97 Accord. Looking at pictures on this site I don't think that is right. Can anyone tell me what this goes to?? I don't want to put it up on ebay until I know what it is.

Please Help!!

Well, for one thing, unless there's a lot more pipe laying around, that's definitely a Short Ram and not a CAI.

The online catalogue I browse says SFA9497 is for 5th gen Accords, and it does *look* similar to other short rams in the catalogue for 5th gen Accords. The SFA picture isn't complete though, so I can't say if it's exactly like that one above.

I didn't even know what a short ram was. Now that I look on ebay for short rams I agree with you, they do look similar.

Like you said, it just didn't look the same as what I was seeing for a CAI for an Accord, looks shorter and not as many curves.

Thank you very much. Now I at least have a clue...

that looks a lot like an integra LS or even maybe a crx intake. On accord short rams the openings on either end are perpendicular to eachother. You could probably make that intake work though

Actually that intake in the pic is off a 95-99 Eclipse Non-Turbo.
A friend of mines has one, dunno how you got your hands on it (hehehe)
But now that you know its for a DSM might as well sell it

That intake looks just like the one i used to have on my 96 Accord. The bracket and the nipple are in the same spots.

CAI is usually alot longer because the air is from the outside of your car normally near your wheelbase somewhere. While with Short Ram intake it's from the inside of engine compartment. Probably already knew this though.

To me it looks like a short ram intake system, a CAI system would be longer in piping since the filter goes outside of the engine compartment. But I could be wrong.

I got a 4th gen accord and its the same type of shape. Just put it in a couple days ago so i have a good idea of what the one in the pic looks like. Same curves and everything. My homie has a 5th gen accord and the piping is way longer for the short ram then the one in the pic.

err....that *looks* like a 4th gen intake...the curves that is. but where the mounting tab is on that intake, is in the wrong place, its on the other side. and the breather inlet is too far up. i installed my AEM short ram couple weeks ago, and its the same length and shape, but the breather inlet and mounting tab are wrong. unless theres two places to mount it?
