LSD of choice for a daily driven R
-Which is good for which application of driving (drag, cornering, blah blah blah)
-Which ones require maintenance (i dont want this, i want a set and forget LSD, dont want to hassle with maintenance)
forgive me for those that are mispelled:

Stock is just fine for daily driving and the track. Unless you want to turn the car into a hardcore racer, id suggest Quaife or ATS. Oh and stock would require the least amount of maintenance and carefree operation.

I have to agree.
I have to agree.
Quaife: Stock like reliability, (actually better) superior performance, and zero maintenance.
Brand new they are also about the same price as well.

. I use the car. If the Quaife takes off 1/10's in the 1/4 then I want it (I am juicing nitrous, so an improved LSD may help me quite a bit with traction b/w shifts).

A brand new OEM ITR LSD goes for about $750 or so. A Quaife can be had for about $800. You can only get a used ITR LSD for $400.

Keep your ITR LSD. If something is wrong with it, or if you dont have an LSD, then go for a Quaife. I have a Quaife now, and have no complaints.
Um...you're not a hardcore racer in any way, shape, or form.
Stock is fine.
No track use the way you mean it Georgie...this is a drag-only thing.
Stock is fine.
If you're like most ITR owners, enthusiastic street and track use, but not racing, I'd stick with OEM until you break it.
no...but drag racing is technically racing, so there's bound to be some confusion when the kid calls himself a "hardcore racer".
Just letting you know that this is a car that will most likely only see straight-line abuse.

You don't need to be an *** about it, he's asking a perfectly good question.
yeah but drag racing is still ghey

stick with ITR LSD since that's what you have and break it first (if you can
). THEN get a replacement one. I don't have one but I would get Quaife since the cost is less compared to the ITR LSD.
-aoib0t, who has no LSD.

How am I being an ***?
Just by telling him that he's not a hardcore racer?
"Hardcore racers" would have a fire extinguisher, not a NOS bottle. And a roll cage. etc etc...

yo jon
i heard the quaife has a life time warranty so you always have that going for you even under race applications. So i voted to go with the quaife cause you get more power handling and warranty

What it comes down to is this. I will be replacing the LSD, and I was asking which would be a better choice .... Quife or stock ITR, seeing that they are around the same price.
