how much damage am i looking at?
I got hit today, what kind of damage would my car have, imagine that you have a really really really bad camber and the rim isn't straight anymore and the tire is rubbing the spring. Stupid guy I was right infront of him making a left turn and he hit me in the rear. I was in the intersection, he hit me at a 90 degree. Only damage was the driver side rear tire and my rota circuit 8s rim all scratch up and a mark on the bumper.
i have a del sol by the way
edit: i have a strut bar in the trunk

from that 2nd pic it looks like the uper controll arm is bent. frame damage i doubt. check the bushing on the trailing arm too. those like to rip out on impacts like that. if it's just the upper arm it won't cost much, maybe $15 at the worst. if the bushing got destroyed you can get some energy susupension ones to replace it. it's fairly easy to diy but time consuming. their bushings don't cost too much either.
edit: check that shock on that side too. it may have some damage as well.

Get an estimate. Tell the insurance company you want a check in your name not the body shop you are going to. They buy the parts from someon else (like me
) you and your friends spend a weekend working on your car and you got your self some cash!!

my head did hit the window hard, if you didn't know.
" clearly indicate your intent to make more out of the accident than it's worth. It's a clear attitude toward wanting to defraud the insurance company more than the accident will be to repair your car, and yourself. The people who think that this sort of behavior is ok are the reason that insurance rates are so high.
I understand you're pissed, and you damn well have a right to be. However, what you have a right to from the insurance company (which, is, in fact, US the customers of the insurance company who are paying any in excess of the amount you have paid in your premium) is the repair of your vehicle (or a monetary amount equivalent to that), a suitable vehicle while yours is out of commission, your medical bills, and lost work time.
Nothing more, nothing less.
