Default Header Bracket - is it necessary with JDM length header?

I read all the threads I could find by searching.

I re-used my usdm stock header bracket with my JDM DC 4-1. Yesterday I noticed that Nate's new Spoon header has NO place to accomodate a bracket.

So my question is: Is it needed??

Why am I asking?? I *think* my bracket has broke, or is loose. I cannot confirm this until I get under the car and look. Either way, I have to get under there to get my test pipe off and get it shortened. So, while I'm down there, would it hurt to just take off the header bracket?

I didn't use the OEM bracket with my Comptech header and my Spoon header obviously seems to not be set up for use with a bracket. Who knows? I want a

Well Hooch, you can, but eventually it'll break like you said. Mine was fine at least till two weeks ago when I noticed a chattering that sounded like a loose bolt or something like that. Actually it may be intact, i have no idea. I think my suspect test pipe may also be to place, that piece of ****.

So it is safe to use no bracket?

Speaking of that damned test pipe. I should call and muffler shop and try to get it fixed tommorrow. Too long, need new flange. :sigh:....
