I am going to purchase a 2.5" collector header this spring/summer. My question is, do the JDM headers have the header support bracket for USDM ITR's?

I see on some websites, these brackets are for sale separately which has me concerned. I will probably get either a JDM OEM 4-1 or DC JDM, how does my question pertain to these headers?

 

I know the JDM DC header has the support bracket and will bolt up to the USDM ITR just fine and I think the OEM Honda 4-1 does also.

 

What's the purpose of this thing?

 

...as a mattter of fact, I'm doing one in the mourning(JDM 4-1\2.5" SMSP Carsound cat with reducer)... I'm told you don't need the JDM bracket with the DC JDM header... I don't know, but with the Honda JDM ITR header, you do need the bracket pictured above. It won't fit on USDM bracket ... unless your going to run without a bracket at all, which even though many respected people here have done without, I don't suggest it...

I'll have these brackets in Tuesday or Wednesday
I usually only suggest them with the JDM ITR 4-1 as it weighs a bit more than say a Mugen Toda Etc.
