i was driving home from my gurls house today when i came to a light
all of a sudden this old *** lady rear ends me and i move about 1 1/2 feet up the road. nothing major
so i get out of my car and saw no damage. i had some paint on my bumper scraped off from before but told her she did that
we decided to settle on the side
how much should i try to get her for?

Show some respect for your elders. She's not "this old *** lady." She's someone's wife, mom, and grandma. If I ever found out you called my grandma an old *** lady, a traffic accident resulting in no injuries or damage would be the least of your concerns. But that's beside the point. She didn't do any damage, so let it go.

scratches on a bumper usually means the whole thing needs to be repainted. if insurance gives you an estimate it will be between $250-400 for the repair, more if your bumper needs to be replaced. i just had a similar accident and i got $550 'cause my bumper got cracked when the guy rear-ended me.

I got $900+ for a lady backing up into my bumper, scratched the bumper/broke my amber corner, thats all.

I would have to agree with several of the other posts saying get some money for it. I had a similar situation in wich a dumbass in a jeep smoked the rear of my 240sx at a red light. there was no aparent damamge so i let it go, only to find out later that the hatch didnt close right anymore. A dumbass that runs into you at a red light is a dumbass that runs into you at a red light. old lady or not mabe she will start to pay attention now. when I grow old i dont expect ppl to let me slide for being old.
