Default Rattling Noise

Everytime I turn on the AC/Heater/Defrost etc. the dash above my glove compartment begins to rattle. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what did you do to fix it? Thanks.

No, you aren't the only one. Mine is getting worse. There are no signs of it going away so far. I wouldn't mind the rattling if I could drown it out via the radio. However, nothing seems to work.

I don't know how bad the rattling is or what it sounds like since I don't have that problem, but it could just be vibrations in your dash like two pieces rubbing or a loose bolt or something...that may be far fetched, but I think my old Thunderbird used to do it back in the day. I don't know

Have you ever checked your fan? What I mean by this is have you looked to see what might be in it. You can access it from your engine compartment by taking off the rain guard between the windshield and the engine compartment. There are some little black plastic clips under the rubber gasket. Seperate the rainshield by pulling up. You will be able to see the fan in a large hole on the pasenger side under this rain shield. There is usually lots of leaves and sticks and all kind of stuff. Clean it out and see if that fixes the vibration. I had the same problem except mine was making a buzzing sound( the leaves). Where in AL are you anyways?

I have been hearing this noise. Mine stops if I push on the "glove box". I never noticed that it was only when the heat/AC was on. But then again I just started noticing it recently and have had the heat on all the time. I'll have to check that out on lunch. I was going to take the dash apart and spray the back of them all with rubber undercoating spray to eliminate any noise. It worked everywhere else on the car...
