ok i gotta d16 boosted on the greddy kit. for fuel i currently have the blue box (i kno, i kno) and a walbro 255 HP intank (nope, it's not an inline). i already have colder plugs and i'm planning on getting a B&M fpr and gauge very soon. i kno that i'm prob running very rich on the blue box, so i was wondering what my fuel pressure should currently be and how much i could possibly safely turn it down so that i'm not running quite as rich. i'm not looking to turn it down too much, just a little bit so that i'm not wasting as much fuel, but still a little rich to keep it safe

also, i was reading a post before that was telling the ratio of fuel pressure increase per lb of boost, and then i was looking at fuel pressure gauges to buy. i'm currently planning to get the summitracing glycerine-filled gauge, but i was wondering, if you're running a certain amount of boost that ends up maxing up our fuel pressure gauge at WOT, will this do damage to the gauge? i think the highest summit gauge goes only up to 100psi and i'm pretty sure alotta boosted cars are seeing more than that at WOT. thanks alot for the help guys and sorry for such a long post

my suggestion would be to get rid of the blue box and get a smc or s-afc and run the map hack. must safer and much much better.

 

D16a6 is 28-31 psi at idle with vacuum when warm and 36-41 psi with vacuum disconnected.

Not sure but y8 and z6 should be the same.

B&M might not be able to drop the fuel pressure if your Walbro is pumping away. The stock fpr usually cannot bypass the flow of the 255 so you will be well above the stock levels no matter what.

Don't be suprised if your stock fuel pressure is over 40 psi and won't come down.

Um no you will not hurt your gauge but if you run more than 100 psi then that will be your least problem.

 

oh i didnt mean 100 psi at idle, i meant at WOT on high boost.

for anyone running the summitracing gauge, what fittings or hardware did you use to install? thanks

 

the tech at honda told me around 35psi on D16Y8
