just a little info for ya
Incase anyone was going to try and do the crx dash swap into the 4gen sedan.....
IT DOESNT FIT!~ After I lost the money to find this out though I would save some other people the trouble lolyou can swap the metal bracket and center piece onto the civic but will have a slight gap at the top where it meets the dash because the crx dash curves outward some and the stock civic dash doesnt.. im fixing this prob with a little creativity and will post pics once i have it completely done which wont be for a little bit
anyways just givin the heads up!!
and the CRX gauge cluster DOES NOT plug up to the civic wiring harness either and no you cant swap the harnesses either....the plugs are different sizes and have one extra

I've got a CRX dash, door panels, center console, and gauge cluster in my '90 STD and it fit perfectly. Everything was pretty much plug and play, except the A/C controls which I was removing anyways.
ok for one im not stupid.
it said to use the same yr cluster as the car you are puttin it into, which i did, and it STILL DOESNT WORK.
secondly, yes it was swapped into a sedan and the dash does not fit against the windshield like it should. ive since put my stock dash back in with the crx center console attached to it and it looks alot better. Anyway im doing a Integra GSR dash/gauge swap over winter so I really dont care about the fitment anymore. Ill keep you updated on that as well if anyone cares.....and when i have a minute i will go stick the crx dash back in my car and show you where it doesnt fit correctly in the sedan.
in order to get the crx center console onto the civic dash you MUST swap the metal frame that is behind it, otherwise you cant put it in. its like 5 screws to take out and put on the civic dash and it bolts right on. here are a couple pics...

and please no "why the hell did you paint the dash blue? what rice trash" or "it looks like smurf jizzed on your dash" because i could care less AND as i said before i am swapping in a black gsr dash. and yes i asked a few people if the crx dash would fit into a sedan like a hatch and EVERYONE said yes no problem. well im just tryin to help ya out and let you know it doesnt lol

haha your interior looks like mine. i stripped EVERYTHING out i had a dash and 2 seats thats it. you got one up on me you have door panels but im making custom flat ones that are lighter than stock door panels. looks nice though just wish it would fit in my car like that. oh and i will post the instructions of how to do the gsr gauge cluster into a civic/crx when i get done!

custom flat door panels? You do realize the CRX Si door panels don't really weigh that much at all? I don't know how much weight you are trying to save, but I hope they look good.
well since mine is a 4dr i want all the panels to look the same. will cost me like $30 for all 4 doors. and like i said im doing a gsr dash swap so the crx panels wont work anyways and i know the gsr door panels wont fit on my civic. so easiest way to solve the problem is to make custom flat ones that way i dont have to worry about fitment against the dash when i close the doors. thanks for the info though i was wondering about that!
