How hard is it to take out the airbag?
I just wish I was a little bit smaller to work under the dash.

i just hope people don't do this simply for the "JDM" effect on daily drivers...
(would you rather kill a passenger, or look stock?)

I don't understand how removing the airbag would kill the passenger?
If the passenger was wearing their seatbelts then they don't need an airbag. Airbags have been know to kill people too. I seriously do not see any use whatsoever for an airbag. Case in point, My sister ran into a 15' Sign in her blazer with no-airbags and her passenger also didn't have an airbag. They walked away. All they do is stun you and total your car because they're expensive to replace.
Airbags =
I'm taking mine out whenever I get the chance.
PS. My dad turns off his passenger airbag on his Tundra too.

I guess I am wondering why we even have air bags then if they aren't supposedly needed. I hear the new Z has even more airbags than just the passenger and driver. Why waste money on it right? can it be used as a supplement to prevent you from hitting your head? or a secondary backup incase the belt malfunctions somehow?

Even if your seatbelt malfunctions, you will still be inside the car. Now you might hit your head on the windshield, but from what I heard, people get burned by airbags and it's just as painful if not deadly than hitting your head on the windshield. Remember, airbags are controlled explosions.
Put it this way, the way I see it, if you got in an accident where normally your seatbelt isn't going to save you, even with the airbag, it won't save you. A 5,000Lbs SUV is going to cut through that airbag like a hot knife through butter.
i agree with len.
removing your airbag will not kill you. a non-functioning belt could though lol..
but yeah, i know a couple friends who've got their faces burnt to the ground from an airbag
