Default civic oil filter

I have a 92 honda civic w/ 1.5 litre engine - the oil filter backs off and seal blows out of groove then engine loses all its oil, filter is on correctly and no old rubber seal in groove - i have been changing my own oil for 20 years and have never come across a problem like this one - any suggestions or solutions for this problem?????????????????????????I am baffled

if tightened theres no way the filter should back off. are the threads ok? you using the right filter?

Honda specs the filters at 7/8 of a turn after gasket contact. Blowing oil filter seals could indicate a severe blockage or restriction in the oil passages upstream of the filter.
