Starter?? ARGGGG!
So I get out of work, goto start my car and nothing...kind of a humming noise but thats it. Battery seems fine, but no love on the start. Push started it and drove home, fine. Thought it was a fluke, starter never showed signs of not working. No start when I got home either.
Do starters just stop working?
Any other ideas?
Need help asap!

the exact same thing happened to me in my 93 DA.Turns out it was the battery. It was so low it would not even turn over so I had to push start it to get it home.I changed out the starter and nothing so I took it in expecting major repair bills and they said that the battery was low enough that it would not even turn the engine over but all the electrical stuff still came on.Weird but that is my story.I hope this helps.
Make sure all of your battery cables (at both ends) are tight and free of corosion.
An old chevy trick when the starter is going out is to beat on it with a hammer, it'll start working again... for a while.

Try tapping the starter with a hammer...
Mine died one day, and right when I was taking it off to go exchange it.. I noticed my negative cable came loose.. plugged it in, and it worked perfect again.
So maybe its a loose wire!
