its grinding in 2nd only sometimes at high RPMs.... any sugguestions?

 

maybe you got bad synchros.

 

change transmission fluid..

like BDC would say:

buy REDLINE MTL...

how much are syncros? should i just buy a new EX trans? ive got a DX....

before you go replacing stuff
go to honda, get 2 quarts of Honda MTF and replace your transimssion fluid.
that could stop the grind. if you say its only at high RPM's its possible it will fix the grind.

if it dosent, you have 2 options
1) replace the syncros wich can be costly and if you dont do the work yourself, the labor charges will be more than a new transmission
2) replace the transmission, but then you take the risk of getting a shitty transmission, and being stuck with a diffrent problem.worse problem.

 

I have the same problem in 3rd. I will try the mtf though
