Default H&R sport springs on a 89 Hatch.

Hey guys im brand new to the forum so excuse me if i sound like a kook. Ive got a 89 si hatch and am trying to set up my suspension for autocross and daily driving. Im going to run H&R Sport springs with my tokico blue struts. I need my rear pretty stiff as the front of the car still tends to push even though im running A Mugen Lower sway bar and about 10 pounds of tire pressure less in the rear. The car is relatively level when i corner but it still tends to push IE "understeer" through heavy turns but idd really like to make the front bite more so I can throw the rear end out. Any suggestions?

Get a rear sway bar, if you don't already have one, and remove the front sway bar. (you didn't mention which one you have)

what tire pressures are you running right now, if you wanted the car to rotate more i'd suggest running a higher pressure in the rear (say 2psi higher than the front)

If you really want the car to rotate, get coilovers and order custom rates with the rears higher than the fronts. Are you doing this on the street? The fact that you are running on Blues makes me think so. If this is the case, you don't really want the car to rotate much. Losing the rear end on the street can be VERY dangerous. You kind of sound like you want a RWD car with a lot of power. Get a Mustang.

EXACTLY i just want the car a 51% in the front, as a overloosly built front end is not a sound choice at all. But as it sits the car still slightly pushes versus sliding. Note im not wanting to drift but slip. Thanks for the imput

Ive got a Mugen lower rear bar and it works bitchen helped out a lot. I was very much contemplating on removing my lower front sway bar but am leary to do so because at high speed wont the car be all over the place? Thanks for the imput.

what size is the rear bar? what tires are you using? pressures? the thing about h&r sport springs is that theyre progressive rate, you really dont know how stiff itll be in any particular moment..

Get an aftermarket rear swaybar, it will do exactly what you want.
It will change the way the weight is transfered between the front and the rear outside tire.

less weight on the front tire, more on the rear tire !

Im running a 22mm Mugen lower bar in the rear, Im about to pull the front lower bar but im kinda skeptcical to do so for fear of losing my high speed stability. Thanks for your input
