Hybrid 4 doors??
Who all here has hybrid 4 door Civics? I'm about to sell my car and I can buy a 91 Civic LX for $1200. It's white with blue interior and it's 5 speed. I plan on using the money leftover and doing a B16 swap and mod the suspension as soon as I buy it. Those of you who have put swaps in your 4 door Civic, tell me what swap you have and how satisfied you are with it.
'89 LX here, with a B16 and '92 Teg LS trans. So far I'm loving it...nothing done to the motor at all, and will probably stay that way for a while as I need to do suspension and fix my AC. Definitely do suspension upgrades after the swap though...the B16 made my car feel noticeably more nose-heavy.

i love efs but... u got a 93 gs-r dude, dont sell her, **** the 4 doors (no offence 4 doors) stick with the gsr i was looking for one unitl i found my rex, i love those rare *** da with vtec pep!

i have a 91 LX, ZC swap witn i/h/e and a zex 55 shot, and the 4dr owns! Weighs less than a hatch with comfort of 2 more doors. You can make one kick *** sleeper, but selling a 93 GSR for a 4dr i dunno about that unless your gonna build one kickass motor.
But do what YOU want to do. I chose the 4dr cause i always liked em, weight, and you dont see to many.

Got 2 4doors...
(bro's car) a 88, automatic, changed it manual and swaped a 91 ls...15.38 at ¼mile...but now it run bad, he can't get better then 15.75, so he's changing for a b20 this winter, with juice, cams, I/H/E.
and my 89, planning for a b18b or b16a next winter

'91 Civic EX five speed on Velox VX-8Rs. K&N Typhoon intake with 2.5 inch exhaust from the header back... Maxspeed coilovers, S&T sway bars, front and rear (upper and lower) tie bars. D16A6 (spare head... the one on the car will be worked and sold) head is out being worked now. Spare D16A6 intake to be ported and I have the throttle body out being cleaned up and bored... AEM fuel rail, OBX adj. timing gear and Mugen (?) chip to be installed once the head is in. edit: '91 CRX rear disc conversion in the works (I'm lazy... I have everything, just not the drive to install it).
B18B en route to be done and installed sometime next year... this engine is going to be lotsa $$$ as we plan on running a T3/T4 hybrid on a little boost.

IIRC, the EX has cruise control/power everything and 14" steelies stock, while the LX has no cruise (but still power mirrors/locks/windows) and comes with 13" steelies. Offhand I can't think of any other differences, but it's been a long time since I've seen an EX up close.
Well that car I was gonna buy has been sold. Now I don't know what to do. I'm still selling my car, but I don't know if I should look for another 4 door Civic, or use the money from selling my car to buy a 3rd gen teg.

LX is power everything with Cruise
EX is 108 hp d16a6? with power everything and sunroof?
EX special edition (CDN only) came with upgraded cloth and some other things i can't remember oh and power everything.
88-89 came with DX and LX models only dx basic LX power everything
90-91 came DX LX EX and any of them could be SE i've seen DX SE's around..
difference between the 2 years were that the 88-89 came with hatch like tail lights and the 90-91 came with a split turn signal/brake light

keep the gsr, its much more rare, and in my opinion orignality is priceless. 4dr hybrids are also pretty orignal but not quite as rare as the gsr you already have.

I like my GSR, but I've owned a 3rd gen, and I liked it more. I know my car is rare and I appreciate all the props you guys give me, but I think I'm just ready for something else.
