Slightly OT: Wintertime Video Fun
A buddy of mine put together a funny video of some wintertime fun we had in the recent snowfall :

Also, he made a compilation of all the events we've attended during the past year - some nice shots and good music:

(you will need divx if you don't already have it - go here www.divx.com to download it)
Also, here's some shots of my R in "winter mode" (no front lip, and steelie goodness!)

LOL expected more footage of R's, but that's okay. Nice way to kill about 3 minutes
BTW, the night driving scenes remind me of the ones in Fargo

We just recently did a honda-tech cruise night and meet. Pretty sick seeing 18 cars going 100+ mph on Ocean Parkway here on Long Island.
that video is great, reminds me of that Lexus commercial with the new SUV sliding in the snow. Music goes great with the clip. great work!
cool vids...
but for all the preaching of "take it to the track" ....
heck, even the video shows deer. that wasn't safe, and a cop would have a field day with your video and speeding.

May I ask what song that is in your 2nd clip?

Hey guys, my name's Evan. I finally decided after about 6 months of reading posts everyday to join this here Honda-tech board
Anyway, I am "buddies" with Philly_NBP_R and I am the one behind all the videos that he has posted (all of them all the way back to that movie shoot with the Ferraris and so on). So I'm glad to hear you guys like the videos, i really got into this stuff in the last few months, it kicks *** when the video comes out just right and its good to hear you guys liked it.
Anyway, I myself have an "old school" 89 prelude that just ticked over 220K miles and she is still running like new and doesn't even burn any oil (go Honda, woohoo). My car was the one in those videos on the back road scenes
As far as the videos go i use Adobe Premier, I've been told that it's the only way to go when it comes to video editing. A few people asked about the music, for that 2002 compilation video I used a song called " Take me away" by "4 strings" I thought it went well with my whole looking back on the year theme since I decided not to use any live sounds from the clips.
Oh, and last but not least, Someone said something about "take it to the track" ? I was not speeding in any of the footage; I ran those clips at 170% speed to make it more exciting (I guess it worked if you couldn’t tell). And as far as the deer go, I could see them 100 yards before they even come into view on the camera, in fact, there where about 8 of them in the group but the rest took a run for it before you get to see them
Thanks again for all the positive comments, maybe I will post my thoughts from now on instead of sitting here hitting my head on the desk at some of the stuff that goes on around here
P.S. "entrancing" is in fact a word.
P.S.P.S. Any suggestions on music for future videos is very much welcome, especially non techno stuff. I am planning on making the trip out to the 2003 expo with my Philly_NBP_R so we will be sure to get some very cool footage from that to put something together.
