Default My EF (ED whatever) lots-o-pics

Hi all. A while ago (june I think) I bought a 88 DX 4dr for $800 off some lady in idaho. The beast had 281k miles, bald tires, and just enough clutch to get home. Plus it had a little rust, an extremely nice interior, an ***/burnt marshmallow colored paintjob, and kick-*** unpainted bumpers. Anyway, we put a $30 clutch disc in it, some skunk2 coilovers on, my old bald stock teg wheels on it and went to the auto-x (my 1st auto-x). I had fun but it wasnt good enough. So I stripped the car down to nothing (1810 lbs, or so the scale said. its a heavy scale) and went to another auto-x. For the lack of interior I got bumped into Dprep. That sucked, it was just me and my friend (co-driver) in this class and he beat me in my own car. It still wasnt good enough (my driving wasnt either, but thats another story). So I got some AGX's, a 4 door integra rear sway bar, full integra front knuckle assemblies and trailing arms, and some old 325 wheels with Azenis. I went to another auto-x and they let me run in FSP because I wasnt competitive at the last auto-x. I took second out of like 8 cars. That felt good. On the second day of the event I got bumped back to DP with a 914. I only lost by 2tenths (I hit a cone every run) so I wasnt too dissappointed.

Well, I put a B18a in it and will be running in SM with a full interior next season. Every car that I remember being in SM had a turbo. There was a turbo SE-R, neon, NX2000, a cabrio, and a few others. Hopefully my weight advantage will help me a lot. I cant wait.

My teg is jealous.

DX seats suck.

Bimmer wheels (12 lbs/wheel), azenis:

The BMW wheels have such a perfect offset:

No no moto.

B18a.

Stripped interior:

Now:

straight piped 1.5" ID for now (there is a cat). I cut up and welded the stock stuff.

Battery in the back, my own strong bar.

Made a new rear strut bar too:

I love this car. It is now 2060lbs and fun as hell to drive and so far it has only been about $3200 total. EF's are cheap. Anyway, let me know what you think.

Ben

I gotta respect that car since it's very purpose built, even if it looks . If I were you I would just spray paint that badboy and you could fix the rust at the same time.

agreed. I would take that cover over most show cars anyday. lowbuck racecars are the only way to go.

Looks very good Ben....
I'm running the similar suspension parts
KYB AGX
Skunk 2 Coil Overs
ST Front and Rear sways
Cusco Front strut bar

So whats the review with these two components?

Is this available for my car? How is the performance compared to other strut bars? bar weight?

This as well?

keep up the good work!

PM me the details....

He said he made his own strong bar. I know Benen Ind. makes them, not positive if for the EF or not.
