V-tec? What the hell is that?
I just read an article about v-tec. I'd like to know what you think v-tec is and how it works? thanks. late.

vtec (not v-tec, where have you ever seen it written like that on a honda?) simply acts like an instantly more aggressive cam. between the 2 cam lobes for the cylinder, there is a more aggressive lobe that just smacks a rocker arm thats not connected to anything. but when 12 volts hits the vtec solenoid, its opens up oil pressure to the rocker arm assembly, and little pegs push out and connect the 3 rockers into a single item, which then run off of the vtec-spec lobe, opening up airflow a lot more. that is how vtec works
I just thought of why nobodys ever seen that before. I remember the only time I ever saw my stock airbox was flying through the air on the way to the trash can.
