Default New Mounts

I just got a set of Engine Mounts for my B16A from Spi Tuning here in Surrey. They look so good and beefy I just had to post pics of them...

Tough to see here but the bottom of the driver's side mount is thicker than the other mounts, and it's pretty heavily reinforced.

That company is formerly known as Redshift Racing is it not? If it is, i hear terrible things about them and their product.

Yes, it is. I do not know why they have such a bad rep. They've been great with me. They had a problem with the old style driver side mounts cracking under repeated stress (ie the dragstrip), but they improved on the design and used big thick aluminum on the bottom of the mount.

Can't wait to bolt them in!

EDIT: I would also have liked to purchase HASport mounts, but they're like 800 dollars here with shipping and taxes... too much for me. I get full warranty for these too.

Some guy did a nice welding job on those. I wonder if he rushed or took his time. What do you guys think?

I could be wrong but, are'nt welded motor mounts bad because it makes them weaker and they break easier ?

I dunno, but my brother has been drag racing and autocrossing for a long time with none of the welds ever cracking.

Nice monts . Where do they place the engine in the bay...is it far up like the place racing ones or is it further back like the HASports? How much is $500 canadian here in the states? Thanks man.

It is hard to find good Canadian prices. they are really nice looking dude. I know a guy who bought his ZC at RedShift and he was really happy with his product and the service.

The mounts I bought are slightly different that the ones my brother is using (Raene), but I do believe they are similar to the HASport ones in terms of engine location. No clearance problems at all, and they revised the design to make the bolts easier to get to on the trann mount. 500 canadian, is like what...300 american maybe. Probably around the same price as Placeracing.

If you look again, you'll see that those mounts are made from separate pieces of Aluminum, and not machined from a "chunk", or "billet".

Pretty good welding....... Just TOO MUCH welding if you ask me.

All Hasport's first series of motor mounts were welded style just like the pic shown, and yes they can break, just like anything. I am sure the billet ones can break too.

These are the mounts I am using for my LS/vtec crx.

I like them alot, especially for the price I paid.. 225 bucks on ebay. They are a bit stiffer than the Hasport mounts IMO.
