S2000 cams in an RSX
My friend is selling his S2000 cams and i read that they will fit on my K20. I looked at the cams and they looked the same. I was wondering if the cams will indeed fit in my engine.

whats your problem? who cares what you smote or how fat you are? I checked some of your other posts to see if you were always an idiot and that's what it seems.

if you dont have anything helpful or even relevant to say why do you have to mess up other people's threads by being an ***? are you just mad cause you are overweight and girls wont give you the time of day even after you bought a type r sticker?

It won't fit. The S2000 doesn't have VVT, so the intake camshaft is a differenct length.

the i in ivtec refers to variable valve timing, which is vvt in short.

yeah, and what does the Intelligence in iVTEC refer to???? variable valve timing
and the s2000 does not have "Intelligence" or "VVT" or "Variable Valve Timing" - diff. names for the same thing
edit- and VVT and VTEC are completely different and IN NO WAY alike.... VVT is not Toyota's version of Vtec. vvt is simply variable valve timing and has nothing to do with lift. VVTLI is similar to vtec in that it alters lift but is more advanced than vtec because it also has the variable valve timing. VVTLI and iVTEC are the most similar of the 2 versions of valvetrain. both have variable lift and variable timing.

Listen up dipshit!......Class is in session: VTEC (now iVTEC) is Honda's version of variable valve timing. VVTi is Toyota's version. VTEC is not the same as V-TECH, is it! (engine technology vs. telephone name brand)
....so why would calling something produced by one company (which is likely a trademark or patented name) by the name of another?!? Without proper communication, information can be easily misconstrued. Didn't you learn anything from playing the telephone game as a child? We all saw how easily thing can get fucked up when we either do not pay attention to details, or we choose to give something a name of our choice when it clearly has one already! Now, run along back to class and you can return when you pull your head from your ***!

vtec and vvti are completely different, STOP COMPARING THEM as being the same thing dipshit.
okay dipshit - vtec is not merely valve timing, its also variable lift. which is not simply variable valve timing like you called it. so if your gonna give out info, give out correct info. and any kinda of variable valve timing can be called vvt for short. and like you said, toyota's version is not merely vvt, but VVTi. so u just messed ur own self up. VVT is not the same thing as VVTi is it? yeah exactly, so whats wrong with using saying vvt, because toyota's system is called vvti and vvtLi. thanks for helping me to completely rape your argument.
when the guy said that the s2000 did not have vvt, he meant variable valve timing, he didnt mean toyotas valvetrain technology. cmon, whats so hard to see bout that. he was comparing the New iVTEC engine with the Old Vtec engine that does not have the "i" which means it does not have variable valve timing, which means it does not have vvt , which means it does not have intelligence. arghhhhhhhh. people
Not sure why vtec is called variable valve timing. If i remember right, cam timing never changes. Its more like variable lift only. So.........
honda vtec: variable lift due to different cam profiles (high and low)
toyota VVTi: variable valve timing due to variable cam phasing
honda ivtec: variable lift and variable cam phasing
toyota VVTL-i: baically VVTi with variable lift.

I think that the RSX Type-S, DC5-R, and S2K use the same exhaust valve springs but different intake valve springs. But I don't think the cams are interchangeable or the heads?

i guess ill have to get the itr cams
thanks again
