Quit bashing the Mugen Engine mount set!
I saw that Steve just completely siliconed a few of his mounts (one or two were torn), and there was an article in some magazine about a month agon on doing just that (which I would have probably done instead if I hadn't already bought the Mugens).

i have the mugens
not too hard core (read cali-vibra butt style)
they use higher quality metal. there is very little engine movement. it also helped out wheel hop
edit: wheel hop not spin

Mostly because they supply all 5 replacement mounts, OEM based, and I like many of their other products.
I've been running the ES inserts in the stock mounts for 45K miles or so, and was hoping for something a bit "stronger".

I know it is tough, but say no to the jdm mounts...
if you want some really good mounts, look into the new HAsport replacement mounts...
They are full CNC 6061 with a solid insert...

no need for everything to vibrate
I had the Place Racing EK B-series mounts. They lasted about 5 minutes before I took them out... EVERYTHING was shaking at idle...
I bought the Spoon mounts and they have been "butta..."

The Spoon and Mugen engine mounts are pretty close in performance. Between them, it's really a choice of which brand you prefer.
Both make a noticeable improvement especially in on/off throttle and gear changes. The power feels more direct and responsive.
If your car/engine mounts are still fairly new, then it's possible that you don't notice as great an improvement.
In comparison to engine mount inserts and solid engine mounts, the Spoon/Mugen mounts are by far more streetable while still providing excellent performance. Everyone I've known who has had inserts or solid mounts has gotten rid of them after awhile due to the vibration. They're just not streetable... in the long term, the Spoon/Mugen mounts are more reliable/less damaging to your chassis, car, interior, etc.
