AEM Fuel Rails suck and I need some help....
So yeah, My AEM fuel rail is less than a year old and leakin fuel like a ****, i'm scared my car is gonna blow up!!! I know Leo had the same problem with his AEM....what's the fuggin deal? My question is, Does anyone know the o-ring size and material for where the injector goes into the rail?, that's where I believe the leak is coming from. And also, is it relatively easy to pull the rail off and put new o-rings on all the injectors? I had a shop put the rail on for me but would like to fix this problem ASAP on my own. Although dealing with fuel components makes me a little nervous. I was even considering putting my stock rail back on with the AEM reg, but don't want to tap a hole in the stock rail for a gauge. Any suggestions guys?
I know I'll have to help you when you decide to put a new rail on or taking this one off, so I'll watch what I say now!
I say put the stock rail on for now until you can figure out what to do with the AEM fuel rail. Also, if you are going to tap the stock rail, I'd get an extra one just in case something goes array.
Does anyone have any good info about the AEM rail? Are there any other good ones out there?? (I like my stock one just fine)

I think my stock one will be fine, and I don't want to tap it for a gauge. Hmmmmmm...don't know what to do...has anyone else had problems with the AEM rail?
wheres it leaking from ?
take trhe fittinf off its leaking from and put some thread selaer on it , min never leaked and mines is over 2yrs old. and has been taken aprat many times.
I have leaked fuel before from extra lines for my fuel for the nitrous set up , not alot , but it leaked from not sealing good , your car wont blow up unless you have people throwing matches at your fuel rail .
you dont have to be scared of a little fuel its not like do or die thing , but i would get it fixed asap becuase fuel milage will go down a liltte.
oh yes i think the o ring for the end plug is 1/8 in? im pretty sure of that

You don't need to tap for a gauge. Just get one of those B&M fuel pressure gauges that attach to your fuel filter.

If it is leaking between the rail and the injector you need to replace the injector seals(o-rings)....just get them from acura, I would replace them all. It is an easy job. The green o-rings that come with the aem fuel rails dont seem to hold up very well for some reason or another. Oem seals seem to work better for us. Hope this helps.

The only problem I had with mine was the small allen screw next to the FPR. That screw leaked but a little liquid teflon fixed that problem nicely. Then the fuel rail got stolen and I just ordered a new one.
Also, the fuel line going into the FPR/rail combo doesnt fit very well if you are running the JG intake manifold. It nearly pinches the fuel line because its forced to bend at 90 degrees.

I a haven't had any problems with my AEM rail. It is very important to lube the O rings before insatlling the injectors into the Fuel Rail. It is very common to tear or rip those little O rings. I would recomend going to a local auto parts store and buying four sets of new seals/O rings and replace all the little bastards. It should be fine then.
I was about to order a rail a few days ago.
Who's got a good price lately?

ok i didnt knwo it was the injectors rings, yea those are a pain in the *** sometime s, Gravities kept leaking too , i tihnk he had to get new rings.
i think the newer AEM rails fit a hell of alot tighter and messes the rings up , I have one of the old ones and never had a problem with mine

I've come to the conclusion that it is not the rail itself, but the shitty Viton o-rings on the injectors. I don't know why anyone would supply Viton to be used as a seal with fuel, it breaks down very easily. Thanks for the help guys, problem solved.
mine was leaking from the same spot. just get sme new o-rings and make sure you lube them up good when putting them in.
when i put my fuel rail on i never lubed the o-rings. they eneded up ripping and i was leaking fel like crazy.

WE once had the same problem a year ago.. just replace the o-rings with Oem from Acura and that will solve your problem.
It's leaking from the bottom of the rail at the number #2 injector, shitty Viton o-ring deteriorated. Teflon tape is used for threads, which threads on the rail are you referring to? I was asking if Teflon grease would be sufficient on the o-ring, i imagine it would be...
dont use teflon tape ir anything use the paste, but you wont need it for this app /
i used the stock rings when i did mine .
