Default roll cage

I've searched google and search.com and havent got much, as far as pics go at least, I ve found the part #'s to the autopower roll cages on one site. Looking for more info on cages in cr-x's as far as ways to make/install one, ways to not make/install one from your own previous experiences. Or links to cr-x roll cage sites.

And anyone that has a roll cage in their own cr-x, please feel free to post the pic.

Pictures-I have no way to host. My 89 Si has an 8 point SCCA IT cage from Kirk Racing Products. Give em a call and they can send you a drawing or e-mail me and I'll upload direct to you what I have at present. That assumes you want a very serious weld-in cage kit.

dude, i dont think you need the padding on the diag, maybe the petty bar to protect your arms/wrist/hands tho. youre severely limiting your rearview mirror, which i think is more of a concern.

oh and yeah, check out my rollcage faq. dont bother making one yourself and only put a full cage in if you are actually competing in racing.

you said in the other thread that that cage ran you eight hundred? I am yet to see a pic of the bars and their clearance at the dash board, is there cutting of the dash required?

Replied to your IM, and I agree with you. The reason it was so heavily padded in that pic is because I later took out the petty bar and put the pass seat in for riders. The cage now has a little less padding, and I have replaced some of the summitracing yellow padding with the black SFI sticky stuff around my head. The veiw out of my rear view mirror is bad even with the cage unpadded, but then again, the view was bad even before the cage went in

Infinity_Racer,

Sparco Corsa

riceboy,

Yes, the picture above is out of date. There are no door bars or dash bar in that pic, which were all included with the cage at the price I posted. No dash cutting required, but I did remove everything that the SCCA allows to make room.

im not a pro with roll cages, but arent the better ones generally welded to the stut towers to increase stiffness......

alot of the time a cage won't pass tech if it's welded to the strut towers in the rear. it has to go to the main frame rail.
