Ok, I have heard of issues w/crowers in b-series motors...has anyone had or heard of any trouble w/crowers in H-series???

Did crower just have a bad batch of cams....does anyone know if the issue is fixed now?v

 

i've never heard of them breaking on H series, and as soon as they get some mores, they are gonna be makin me a set of stage 2t cams

 

Seems like thats the only thing thats fu($$in working in my car...my cams are fine.

 

Crower Stage 3 in the head I have for 2 years...no problems...

 

so what do you guys think...it was just a B-series issue, or just a bad batch of cams??

Do you think it would be safe for me to run the stage 2?

any aftermarket cams can break.. people remember crower because not many people had the other kinds so when one person broke a set oh my... it was the topic for days and weeks... every other manufacturer breaks cams... but cams only press valve springs and they rotate.. so for cams to break it must be something exterting enough pressure on the lobe (dropped valve), spring bing and cam still wan`ts to turn, or incorrect caps, or not correct torque specifications... so when you think about it, any cam could break... if the crowers did i`m sure they did it by fault and didn`t want to admit it... or if they did i`m sure the problem is corrected..

i`t`s the price you pay for aftermarket , even oem.. anything can happen... you can have cam-gears fail, factory timing belts break etc... who are you going to blame... people blow engines all the time but you don`t see people saying oh my h22a are bad motor people blow them up.. but one person buys cams andsomething happens people remember it....

all my stuff is comming in, i`ve never personally ran an h22a, not even in stock form, i`m building it with as much money i can put into it, until march, then putting it together and dropping in my ek, and hope for the best time i can do drag wise while being street legal...

for all i know i probably waisted my money and could have gotten with a b20vtec but i dont`care because i`m going to learn from my mistake if anything happens...

modifing comes with a price.... Engine failure.. it will happen garantied the question is when .......

 

 

the crower cams are very reliable i have used them in a couple of customers cars and they all run awesome!
