Default Out of place axle...

I was driving my 2000 Type R last night, and all of a sudden the car would go in gear but doesn't move. I thought it was the clutch first, maybe the gear, or the axle. Anyway, to cut what happened in between, it turned out to be the axle.

My problem is, the axle is NOT broken, it simply snapped out of place. We tried fixing it, it worked well until I turn and the same problem once again. The guy fixing my car says it could be the lock at the end of the joint. That's what he plans to do tonight, put a new lock.

Should that solve the problem?

FYI, I'm planning on buying an axle from the driveshat shop, probably the stage 3.

If the splines on the inner joint are not damaged, replacing the circlip should hold the axle in the transmission fine. FYI: when some shops replace the c.v. boots, they don't leave enough air in the inner boot, causing it to try and collapse. When this happens, the "vacuum" in the boot is constantly pulling the inner joint away from the transmission, and it will pop out under the right circumstances, like when making a turn.

Hope that's the problem. Thanx.
