If u put a JDM final drive on a USDM ITR will it hurt your high speed acceleration but help your low speed acceleration?

It will lower the top speed, but at least I can get to my top speed faster than a stock 4.4ring.....

unless you are some of the German guys here who can run on the Autobahn.... I dun see the big deal of losing the top speed for a significant increase in acceleration....

You will have to shift 3 times before you hit 60 mph, but it's definitely fun to drive.

 

Im saying this cause wont the shorter gears cause you to go into fifth early making cars with longer gears faster at high speeds. I saw this in the best motoring video where the 96 spec 4.4 final drive type r runs against the 98 spec 4.7 final drive type r. hthe 98 spec pulles until 4th where it says that the longer gearing in the 96 spec lets it catch up. At the end of the quarter they hit the exact time.

 

Who cares about losing a few top end MPH?? Who here ever (or rarely) hits 140+ anyways? I NEVER have, probably never will in the R.

JDM FD and ATS FD are worthy upgrades. I hear the ATS is really something from everyone who has it.....

if you wanna beat people at the top of 5th gear with the 4.4, it probably means you are trying a ricer flyby (which is exactly the thing you want to do, judging from what you say)

I have friends who have lost their lives doing 100 + and ******* up. Think about how dumb you would look when you are older and have a family. If ur gonna drive that speed, do it at the track where you ain't gonna kill someone innocent. We have enough problems in society without all these showoff retards thinking they are cool.

What do you think people say when you fly by them at 140?? You hope they say woOOooww what a fast car, that is the ****!!!! But in reality they say damn this guy is a dumb ****!! Get your rush at the track, or you will end up in a grave like my friends.
