Koni Restoration/revalve service cost
Anyone have a price for the restoration service? I'm debating on whether I should just buy one new shock to replace a blown one, or send all four to be serviced.
here you go http://www.truechoice.com. They are one of the best
You can call Koni in Hebron, Ky (800#) and talk directly to tech. I think the base charge is around $75 for a normal repair. If you can show that the shock was not damaged due to negligence/abuse-the warranty they come with may well be honored.
Remember that shocks should be serviced or replaced in pairs, except for special circumstances (purpose built race cars for instance).

Really depends on the type of shock you have. For a simple revalve service you're looking at around $100 EACH. Anything else, probably another $100 each (i.e. shorten, or convert from ext single adj to ext double adj, blah blah blah) . Give them a call and talk to Lee Grimes. I've found he's probably one of the most knowledged shock person I've ever spoken with, plus he won't tell you a bunch of B.S. to make you spend more cash. Right now is the time to get stuff done, wait until race season and you're looking at a 6 week turn around.
thanks for the info. i'm was planning on sending mine to koni tomorrow, but now maybe i'll go with truechoice. contact info?
nate-who _is_ going to search for contact info on his own as well.
