Default help me decide fast

here's the deal:

i can get a 00 jdm b16a motor with a itr manifold and a 6 puck clutch installed in
my 93 hatch for $2600. i need to let him know by this friday, is this a good deal or should i wait for something else. the motor has 25k miles on it. i was thinking of going ls turbo in my hatch, but i'm undecided on this deal. what would you guys do?

any opinions welcomed.

thanks,
93hb

sounds like a good deal if the motor is legit and really only 25k miles..and if the tranny is perfect =P but for 2600 yeah not bad good luck if you decide to go with it.. or wait.. get a LS for 1200-1500 and save up for a turbo =P it's up to u

the motor is legit, i know the guy. he hardly ever drives his car and the motor does have only 25k on it. just can't decide what to do.

if you were planning on going ls turbo you obviously have a little bit of money to spend.. so i would buy the motor and get a 1.8L block.... i would personally go with a Gsr block and pistons over the Ls block because the gsr already has the vtec oil passages

after installing pistons yielding the same compression the only difference would be the stroke of the LS/B20's that would make them faster. the stoke is about 1.8mm longer which would give you more torque but then you have the ugly oil lines and you dont have the crank girdle that the gsr has so i guess its just up to personal preference.

with slicks maybe 13.9.... about 14.3's to 14.4's good driver on street tires

just a pretty good guess

with azenis i would just split the time in half... haha but yeah it seems right to me u basically will just get a better 60ft by about .2 seconds... it will take something away from your trap speed i believe because you basically cover more ground sooner... but you should be expecting 14.2's pretty consistently with a consistent driver.

if your going for daily ride...and reliable...i would say 25k on a motor is perfect for that price. but LS turbo is sounding kinda juicy too. hope u make a decision soon. good luck
