Default Calling out 99-00 D16Y8's!!! Intake Manifold question

Hey guys,

I cannot find my picture of the 99-00 Intake Manifold however, there is a small vaccum line near the head right between the 2nd and 3rd runner. Where does it go, what does it run to?

That's the PCV (positive crank ventilation) valve. I goes to the engine block.

Is it the EX manifold??

There is a line on the top and middle of the intake flange on the 99-00 intake manifolds, is that the line you are talking about?

The 99-00 Civic EX manifold have air-injection to the fuel injectors. The air-injection is fed into the intake manifold fland and through the passage in the head and to the injectors.

The hose from the manifold connects to a control valve that's screwed into the cooling system, since the air injection is temperature dependant. The other side of the control valve has a hose running from the air cleaner. The control valve should be on the passenger side, kinda next to the intake manifold since that's where all the coolant passages are.

You sure you're not talking about the EVAC/Purge line? Right under or above the PCV line.

Dammit Imagestation is down.

Right between 2nd and 3rd runner right next to where the head bolts up.
On 99-00's only.

That's the wrong intake manifold. The 99-00 has a larger flange with some small holes drilled above the injectors on the flange that drill straight into the injector bosses.

Yep...air injection into the fuel injectors. Kinda ghetto way to add air to the engine at idle I believe.

Its to add air under cold start. That's why the switch is in a coolant passage, acts as a thermal switch.
