WTB: Rear ITR Bumper
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=355935
Prefer a PY bumper, but any will do.
Driver's rear bumper/light housing/back of rear panel got it pretty good last night. Looking for a bumper to save some money on repairs.
DRIVE CAREFULLY!! I was driving 'aggressively', but wouldn't call it 'spirited driving'. Nor would I say I was ignoring the conditions, just momentarily forgot it was 20 degrees. Very Cold, salt packed in a fine film over the road, very little traction, oops!! There goes the back end. First injury to my ITR besides door dings.
In light of all the accidents over the last 3-4 months posted on here, I should have been more careful. I'm just glad it was only the bumper/impact bar that got punished, and not me or the front of the car.

No pics yet. Maybe Nate or Leo can snap some pics this week. I gotta pick up my field's harness this week, so I'll get pics then. I'm going to get it fixed pretty soon. I actually have to go get my driver's side tires unmounted and remounted today. Rocks got between the tire and the rim, pushing the tire in slightly in a few spots. Didn't hit a curb, but got two wheels in the grass/dirt/rocks.
I inspected the car for about 20 minutes at the scene last night, and did the same thing when i got home and this morning, too. Car drives fine, everything seems to be ok. Exhaust buzzes b/c the rear bumper is a bit loose and is tapping the back of the exhaust can above 3.5K. Suspension, bars, frame look ok. Probably have to have the impact/bumper bar bent back into shape. The end got bent pretty good.

Jackassess... all of you!!
yea, I was on my 9th Old Style and it spilled all over my favorite shirt.

Anyone know what body shops use to strip paint?? (i.e., off of a bumper in order to repaint?)
BTW Mugen Mike.... I found a '98 CW bumper at a reasonable price. Maybe I can just paint the rest of the car so I don't have to strip the CW bumper.
CW will own my car....

Chris, just because the Bears got an *** whoopin last nite, that's no reason to drink yourself to a state of retardedness and go tearin off the R on the on-ramps. I can get you checked into some AA program if you like. I'm here to help.
THIS IS ALL LEO's FAULT!!!
We went to gameworks and were playing that F355 Ferrari Challenge Simulator. I got all wound up racing against leo that I was all full of adrenaline (maybe the guy whos username includes 'adrenaline', except misspelled, will see this post and change his name!!!
) and ... owned my left rear end.
Damnit, Leo.

Insurance will be picking up the bill minus my deductable. Too much to pay for out of pocket.
More damage than I thought - Rear quarter panel on driver's side is warped, bent, twisted, messed up. It's not visually disturbing, but up close and underneath it is not so good. I'll post a new thread with some pics. I hope the insurance appraiser/adjuster comes soon, then said 5-10 days!!!

Question:
My new exhaust is 'buzzing' when shifting and between 3.5-4k. It also buzzes slightly when I maintain 3-4k rpms while driving.
It HAD been buzzing during shifts at low rpms (shifting at 3-4k would result in this 'buzzing' sound) since I installed it. I figured it was b/c it is so cold. My test pipe is about 3/4" too long, so until I got a cat or shortened the test pipe, I was not going to pass judgement on 'why' the buzzing was occuring.
NOW it is buzzing frequently like I stated above. Could it be the bumper and exhaust can 'buzzing' on each other since my bumper is now loose, and the exhaust sits very close to the inside of the bumper???

Only pieces he need is the bottom piece below the taillights and the rear bumper. Bodyshop is probably going to weld some medal to fix the rear quarter panel. It will be back for more Chicago cruises.
