Default Need a good AEM tuner in Florida

I still am undecided about the whole AEM EMS vs. Hondata s200..I know about Vaportrail in Tampa to do Hondata tuning, but in case I decided to go AEM, does anyone know of any good AEM tuners in the Central Florida area? I would prefer them to be as good as Vaportrail is with Hondata. Although that might be asking too much...

BTW, is the EMS that hard to learn for someone who has NEVER tuned an engine but has a novice understanding of fuel and ignition maps?

I didn't know he did AEM also..Hell, that didn't make my decision about which system to use any easier...The same guy will tune which ever one I decide..Well, maybe I'll send him a PM and ask his opinion on which one he would sugguest.

Thanks VTC_boost-less_CiViC

didn't mean to ignore you Falcon....Thanks man, I appreciate that but I'm still in the process of deciding which system I want (AEM or Hondata)..I wouldn't be ready for the install and tune until around March

I can do AEM, yes, but I am not quite proficient with it. Qualude off of the board, however, has offered to help me become a little more familiar with it, should I need it. Hondata, on the other hand, I am very good with IMHO.

Thanks for replying...Yes, I'm well aware of your expertise in Hondata from a bunch of previous threads...I wouldn't even consider anyone else to tune Hondata(no offense to any of the other great tuners on the board)..

So given my setup, which would you recommend?

t3/t4e .63a/r turbine 60trim
custom manifold and downpipe w/flexpipe
fmax intercooler piping w/ hks ss bowoff valve
tial 35mm wastegate closed looped
wideband o2 (in the near future)
looking to make 300 whp

I'm OBD II and would have to do a conversion

John I'm sure you could come up to speed with it pretty quickly.

I agree, however, no one has put the faith in me yet. I've learned Haltech, SDS, Hondata, AEM couldnt be that difficult.

To answer your question, I really like Hondata for your setup. It's so stinkin easy to use, and once tuned, you'll rarely even think about it.

very true. the real benefit of the aem ems to me is that its forced/allowed me to learn so much. forunately i havent paid the price of frying my motor like some people.

it actually saved me when i hit 11psi ...it pulled timing and dumped fuel just like i hoped. knock sensor was quiet. until i went clear off the load map

maybe its time for a 3bar map if i am gonna hang out around ~1bar like that.
