I got my GSR cluster today. I noticed that there are three spots for harnesses. The one on the right and left are accounted for, but whats the center one for? The ribbons don't see to lead to anything. Anyone have a clue?

misc question. On the 94-95 cluster. Is the gas gauge B1 or B3? I just want to eliminate the guesswork. thanks

 

oh yeah, I don't mean the airbag harness either.

 

I have a clue, infact, I know exactly what it is for.
That plug is for the automatic integras.
Auto integras have a bunch of lights that show which gear you are on displayed on the side of the tach.
I know because I have wired quite a few teg clusters on CRXs and Civics.

Rewiring a cluster is the easyest thing.
All you need to do is work on one wire at the time and trace it to see where it goes.
Basics are:
Leave the plugs in place so you know which wire is which.
If you stay whithin the same platform (CRX and SiR or Civic and GSR)
most of the wires are the exact same color.
Some wires are for ground. Ussually two or three. so look for those.
if you see one lead going to several bulbs, that's the ground.
the back of the cluster has the letters "SP" which indicate the speed signal.
It takes me about two hours to rewire a cluster.

im puttin a gsr cluster (90--93 since it is a cable speedo) into my 4th gen sedan.
i thought about the wire tracing but when i started seeing wires connecting to all the light si wasnt sure what that one was for and if it mattered which ground i put there cuz i think there is more than one if im correct! thanks man!!
