idle problem and yes i did search

Default idle problem and yes i did search

As the topic said i have a erratic idle between 1000rpm and 1500rpm when the car warms up , when its cold its stead goes down to 1000 for some time and then jumps endlessy very annoying please help..

Bleed your coolant system for any air bubbles. Did you check your intake manifold for any leaks??? Could also be a clogged IACV sensor on the manifold.

can i use one of those carb or intake cleaners to get rid of this because this is how this **** got started i cleaned i little and it started doing that so what i'm sayin is everything was perfect 800rpm idle i cleaned the tbody and mainfold but just a little not alot and this whole problem started dammit how do you fix it i don't want to adjust anything b/c it was done already at the swap HELP
...........

how do you bleed the coolant system? i changed my antifreeze before all the snow came and that is when my idle problems started... thanks.

to bleed your coolant you can find the drain plug under your front bumper and let get the air out that way (messy) OR what i did was loosed the nut on the coolant line going into the block and add more coolant...it will start to leak out once you start pouring but it also pushes out the air and then you can tighten the nut again. this is a quick fix otherwise is prob is you IACV

My bro-in-law had the same problem on his Civic. Ended up being the alternator brushes. He replaced the brushes and the engine ran smooth.

if that was the case it shouldnt happen only when the car is warm or cold, it should happen all the time. like in my car.

i thought you could just idle the car with the radiator cap off to get air out of the system.

i thought you could just idle the car with the radiator cap off to get air out of the system.
This is how I did it. I think on some of the older car's, there is a bleed valve you must undo to get the air out.
