Anyone use an Action Kevlar Clutch disk?
I am currently in a clutch shopping mode, and I am wondering if anyone has had experience with the Action Kevlar Clutch disk? To those that do not know Kevlar is suppose to have a longer life than an Organic clutch disk.
Also, has anyone used the Stage 1 pressure plate from Action as well? I am specifically wondering if it is firmer/stiffer than a OEM Type R pressure plate?

I'm using the stage 1 pressure plate with a 6 puck. It's nice. Firmer than stock, but not by much.
My biggest complaint is the high and short engagement point.

He means that it engages almost at the top and there isn't very much 'slippage' room.
I feel similarly about the Clutchnet Stage 2, 6-puck....Only problem with that is it likes to eat flywheels.

Can anyone compare it to a ACT heavy duty pressure plate? Does the ACT engage similarly to the Action Stage 1?

i have the kevlar lined disc with the stage 1 and its a really nice piece. better than all my CM clutches i have had and i went through 3 of those
i have a 1KS and i love it. its soft pedal, softer than i thought it would be, but good for daily driving. the clutch grabs hard if u pop the clutch fast and if u engage slow its really smooth. i dont think i could have gotten anything better
Yup same here Stage 1KS clutch with CM flywheel.. beautiful setup and will grab hard if you drop it.. but will engage smooth if your cruising around town..
I picked it up from action.. the guy alex seemed really nice and was showing me all there clutch setups right there

only discs that are particularly aggressive..you should worry about.
If I'm not mistaken, clutches or rather discs, with copper buttons and a strong pressure plate can make shortwork of any kind of flywheel...coupled with aggressive driving ....

ah, okay thanks, so no stock clutches or mild clutches would really eat it then im guessing. Kools, i don't got anything to worry about then. Took me sooo long to save up for my flywheel ahha, i dont wanna see it damaged...
FYI- a kevlar clutch will NOT eat up ur flywheel. ive been told they are about the kindest substance u can use on it, as it does not even wear the surface any
How many of you are running a turbo set-up? People are recommeding that I get the 2KS instead of the 1KS, but I'm wondering if I'll hate the stiffer pedal pressure. I'm running a street setup on my B18C1, running about 8-9psi most (if I go to the track).......and 6psi daily. Any advice/experience with the different pedal pressures? I need to decide soon, because my clutch is going out fast, and I have to commute to work with this car!
Thanks!
