Where is the fuel filter on 97+ Prelude
I know where Civics and Integras are. I used to have a 1994 Accord and the fuel filter was waaay down below somewhat by the steering rack.
Is that where its at on the 5th gen Prelude?

So its like an Accord.
Whats the most effective way in changing it? I tried to change mine last time from the underside, was not successful.

yes its on the driver's side fender well...close to the bottom. I changed mine while my engine was out so it was really easy. Umm i'd suggest maybe getting under your car and getting it out that way.
Its a bitch to get to, but if you like a challenge, then try it youself...I'd suggest taking it to the dealership and have them change it out before it puts too much stress onto you
heh and the manual will tell you that this filter never needs to be changed. I think it's because they realized how much of a pain in the *** it would be TO change, so they said "eh, just say it never needs to be done"
it's easier to get to the fuel pump... therefore my suggestion is this: remove fuel pump and inspect the sock filter. if it's damaged or dirty, replace both the sock filter and the fuel filter.
the fuel filter is basically right below the brake booster. i can get to it with an 18" extension and a crows foot... loosen the top line then raise the car and disconnect it from the bootm and drop it out.
