flex pipe on header
Id say the flex is very imperative for a front wheel drive car, giving all the movement with shifting and stuff. Cause if you just take a look while you got the hood up and rev the engine you'll see how much it moves. Thats just my thought , might want to get some more suggestions
no flex pipe somewhere in the exhaust section will result in broken bolts, bent flanges or bent piping, and possible exhaust leakage.
the 94-97 accords have the flex pipe way in the back towards the muffler, and is rigid all the way to the header. therefore you can get away with mounting a flexpipe elsewhere in the exhaust system if need be, but you will need one.

thanks for the advice!
mounting it after the cat sounds like a good idea, i was going to pull my whole exhaust anyway. there was a thread about different header diameters on h-t a few months ago, i searched but couldnt find it. anyone remember?
