This is explicity related to the B18C5 engine.
as the description of this forum says:
quote "from racing tips to JDM questions ask Type-R owners here" end quote.
So here goes my question again
Thanks
I have not been able to get one damn HP out of adjusting the cams.
182 HP seems the most the engine is willing to give.
if I move the gears away from zero, I loose HP, no matter which cam and regardless of advance or retard.
BTW, these are stock 2000 cams, with Skunk2 adjustable cam gears.
Seems like a waste of money.
We installed Jun IIIs on my friend's C5 and the cams' instructions warn not to move the cam setting much because of possible interference, so not even there.
Have you had any luck playing with cam timing, what settings, what ignition timing?
Thanks

It is very possible that the optimal settings for your set-up is 0-0.
182 whp is very respectable on stock camshafts (I am not sure of your complete set-up).

The instructions that came with my JUN II's said the same thing. In fact they said that anything other than a complete install by a JUN technician would invalidate the warranty if there actually was one. There were more warnings than found on a step ladder.
My JUN II intake cam is at +5 degrees and it works just fine. Advancing the 5 degrees moved the powerband down to a very useable area. Stock valve train, too.
