Default Installed gauges now temp. is reading HOT!??! Pinned, What happened??

I just installed indiglow gauges on my 94 civic EX and now the gauge is pinning on hot. I checked for loose or pinched wires and can't find a problem.. WHat should I look for?? I know it has got to be something easy because I didn't mess with anything.

I did not remove the needles to put the gauges on, they slide on around the needles, that is why I am so confused
