I have a 90 lude si with b20a engine. I am bossting it, block is currently at GE getting built. I was just wondering what material I should use to make my own header. I have brother in-law who is a professional welder so its going to be done right. I got the header flange, turbo flang and wastegate flage, I just want to know what to use for the runners. Also, I was wondering what size IC pipe to use. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks alot.

 

When welding stuff that's going to be subjected to a lot of heat you want to use metals of very similar alloying content. IE stainless with stainless. IC piping should match the IC's tubing diameter.

I think your best bet would be to purchase weld els from http://www.mcmaster.com. You can get them in mild and stainless steel.
