does anyone here have short stroke dampers?
i got some for my 240 and the 240 boards arent all that great. they are kyb buzz spec and are straight jspec, havent seen another set anywhere here. they are short stroke dampers obviously and i am having a few probs w/ figi=uring out how to put them on. i got sportlines to go w/ them, not sure if that was such a good idea, but anyway the sportlines instructions says not to cut the rear bump stop, so im not gonna but when i assemble it all together the piston doesnt some through the top of all the pieces. i just not sure if i should cut the bump stop or not and when i compress the spring will it give me enought room to work w/? i know this isnt honda but i know this forum has really knowledable people on it and maybe you guys can help. and i dont have a 240 manual so maybe i should run out and get one. thnaks
Ok, i take it that you DID pull the piston shaft full way out of the shock body, how short is it from coming through, if its only a little bit, maybe you could cut the bump stop in two, if that doesnt work and its still too short then i would take out the bump stops and see how it goes after that, as bump stops as far as i know arent OE on most cars
