Turbo Timers any difference among the bunch? Apexi, Greddy, Trust, HKS
just features but all do the same thing.. just some have fancier features than others
yup just features, you just pay more money for the ones that have the 1/4 mile timers and 60ft timers and all that crap . i got the HKs type 1, I liked the look and figured id get it becuase the feautres even though ill never use em , they are nice to have
Is there a turbo timer that is easier to install with an alarm or are they all the same? I've read that you need to add a relay to get the two to work together? Is there a tt that has a built in feature to work with the alarm?

I had the apexi pen size one and it did not work 100% of the time. It was wired correctly and would work ~80% of the time, but never figured out what was wrong.
Used the same wiring for the new Greddy and its rock solid...no guessing.

The auto idle. Thought for the longest time it was the way I wired it, but swapped it out for the Greddy without changing the wiring and its worked 100% of the time.

did you notice if it failed on exceptionally hot days or anything?
No rhyme or reason. Could have just been mine. Had it for over a year so I couldnt send it back. Like I said I thought it was my wiring at first couldnt prove it was the unit cause it did work just not all the time.
thats goofy, maybe you just had a bad unit or something.

I had an Apexi auto timer but it crapped out on me about a month after I got it. Something melted in the black box. You think it had to do with the weather being really hot?
Whatever you do, don't get the Apexi! Sometimes the a/f ratio will go blank in really hot weather, causing the something to melt in the black box.

It includes A/F ratio, among other things. It's the size of a pen.
