Camaro Z28 guys know nothing about ITR's
Trending Topics
I don't mind or care if other people don't know anything about the ITR since they donot drive one.
I don't know anything about Z28 too
no big deal IMO

If you want a car for drag racing, buy a Camaro.
If you want a car for road course use, buy an ITR.
However, each car can perform either/both of these duties.
Also:
If you want to be a show stunna, buy a PY ITR.

lol both cars are great , but itr is one amazing car
To each his own.
Structural weight-reduction, brakes, five lug axles, a slew of suspension pieces, different motor, battery relocation, interior included bolstered seude racing seats for driver and passager, etc...

Sigh, boys will be boys, some people know what they're talking about, others are just ignorant.

I keep my battery in the hatch next to the NAAAWWWWWSSSSSS
Fookin' hillbillies, I wonder where they are finding these ITR's that are selling for $25K+ ...Unless they're talking Canadian dollars, but even than that's a little much.

I only read the first page on that Camaro forum, but I'm actually surprised by what some of those guys have to say about ITRs.
Remember, these guys don't live and breathe Type-Rs (like a lot of the people here do). I'm impressed with how much some of these guys knew. So what if they don't know that the battery is in the same location? That's a pretty insignificant nit to pick in light of the other things said there.
Oh, and Z28s are
, especially with LS1s.

. I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO GO TALK TO HIM. PLEASE FORGIVE HIM, HE IS A SUPRA OWNER EX-CAMARO OWNER.
actually for the most part not many of them seemed too dumb.... of course you are going to have idiots on the message boards like there were on there, but in all truthfulness, even though this is only my second post, i have been cruising the boards here for a couple of weeks and there are some pretty stupid people that post here too....
no matter what kind of forum you go to you will always find haters and people that think unless it is the same kind of car that they drive then it is a piece of crap, i happily call these idiots UNINFORMED.... just my personal opinion though, just thought it was kind of cool how open minded and informed most of them seemed to be.....

Welcome to Honda-Tech.
We'll teach you grammar later.
I think that the thread title is a major generalization. I am a sports car freak. I appreciate all forms of racing and give credit where credit is due. I have owned both a Camaro Z28 and now an ITR and I appreciate both. I also know a little bit about both.
Personally, I think the majority of kids I find driving Civics these days should have considered the Camaro before they bought their Civic. Every time I see one of them they shout to me, "What's that thing do in the quarter?" Man it is nothing compared to that V-8 in a straight line. And you can pick up an LS-1 Z28 for pretty cheap too.
But even after having all that power I am still driving the TypeR. So that says something for the Type R's balance as a sports car. It is just so good all around.
IT is still difficult trying to beat out those Z28s at the AutoX though.....they are pretty quick even in the Type R's domain. Gotta respect that.

obviousyly from my handle, you can tell im a chevy guy, i have owned a z28, driven many domestics, and had many different driving experices. Everything from a 12sec all motor lsvtec eg, to a 2002 SS, and everything in between, including my buddys itr, i am one of the few, who respects all forms of cars, so what i do to compare cars, is hp/displacement, now match up say a b18c5, 195/1.8
and a LS1 305(z28)/ 5.7L. Obviously the honda motor is more power to the cubic inches. I have yet to see a domestic company make a respectable amount of hp, in the 4 cylinder model, even though im expecting my 2k itr in late jan, i would have no problem owning a ls1. Just dont let them get to you, because 98% of domestic drivers, give no respect to imports, because they are ignorant, plus half the time, the domestic drivers are really drivers at all. I would say at least half of the camaros i used to see were automatic, what kind of car enthusiast wants an automatic? Unless it is an all drag car.
