anyone ever done a heater core??
A little OT, not for the ITR, but for my new beater (90 VX Fox)
I have the manual and instructions, looks pretty straight forward, but never done one before. just wondering if anyone has any input on the job. Wanna get a crack at it this weekend.
Thanks in advance

I've done 1... a ~95 Cutlass Supreme Convertible. The hardest part was pulling off the hoses inside the engine bay... they were a bitch to reach. I'm sure this will help you change yours on your Honda
No, its actually on a VW
I was just trying to get some ideas
Was your heater core in a heater case under the dash as well?

the two hoses above the rear motor mount on our R's, can i just take them off the firewall after i drain the coolant and stick them back in? is it that simple?

I've done it twice on my mustang. Very easy to do on it. Takes 1-2 hours.
Drain fluid, unhook blower, and hoses, unhook cables going to heater box, take the box out. Also, you'll want to put plenty of towles in the floorboard, because antifreeze is hard to get up(doesn't evapurate too well).

Iza dont know nuthin bout no VW's
but on a Civic/Teg the hardest part is getting the hoses off cleanly (expect to buy two new ones) and getting the core itself out. You need to remove the dash to get to it but again, I'm only an expert when it comes to Honda products.
