Default Brake question... part of rotor not being "swept"

I've got an 11" Fastbrakes kit on the front of my Civic. (For those of you unfamiliar with the kit, it comes with 11" rotors, a hubcentric adaptor ring, caliper mounting backets and GS-R calipers.) I installed the kit with brand new GS-R pads and notice that the inner portion (about 1") of the passenger side rotor is not being swept by the pad while the entire surface of the driver's side rotor clearly is. The brakes work AMAZINGLY well, but I'd like to clear this issue up. Nothing appears to be loose -- does anyone have any initial ideas as to what might cause this?
