Default Hello.......Also I have ????ust saying hi.

Hi I recently joined this great site. I have a 91 Prelude SI and a daliy driven 94 accord dx.

I have a question as well. I want to put a trailer hitch on the 94 accord to trailer the 91 prelude around. Where could I find a hitch and would it even be possible??? Can an accord tow another car???
Thanks for any help

why wouldn't it be able to...not enough power or the trailer hitch won't support it??? I have a dolly where only the front 2 tires go on it. Its kinda like draging the other car along.

You will put more stress on the tranny/engine/clutch/suspension were designed to handle. It would work in a pinch, but the accord is not a tow vechicle.

Plus he's at 300K miles on the original clutch. It's just the way you drive while you tow. If it's a 5 speed, drive on 4th gear, if it's an auto, I wouldn't do it unless you improved trans oil cooling.

Don't forget brakes. I was towing a CRX from San Diego to Sacramento. No problem, until I got off the freeway the first time and the car did not slow down easily.

what 89_LXI's towing does not compare to a 3000 lbs Prelude, I highly recommend NOT towing a car with an Accord.
