http://www.returnbuy.com

I just picked up 2 12 inch Bazooka's and an EL 1500 amp. for $90!!!!!! - had free shipping and a free 1 year warrenty, but now instead of $59 they want $69 +12 for 1 year warrenty+shipping(both were free a couple weeks ago, got my subs for $15 a piece!)

One of the subs was brand new, still had original packing material, was never used. The other was in similar condition, the amp box was beaten to death but the amp looked brand new and maybe used once. Returnbuy - exactly how it sounds, they bought items back from stores who'd probably sell it to employees or trash it/send it back - it works perfectly. Anyway a 94 civic, try the EL 1500 if your just going to power the subs, i've got mine in parallel with 3 feet of 8 awg wire and 20 feet of 4 ga to the back with I think a 60 amp fuse near the battery. Anyway EL 1500 should have plunty of power, I think it retails for about $300, keep the head unit powering the other speakers, i've got 4 6 1/2 inch Alpines running off my factory head unit(tape deck/alpine cd changer in back). But for $10 you can try a 4 channel Bazooka amp from there

Anyway, I ended up spending $60 on the box $72 in additional wiring/parts. I've learned never to buy my own wire, just pick up a kit for $30 and skip the line convertor, oh well I think I did pretty good.

definetly get a friend to help you out on this, I've got a half dozen car audio nuts who loved to do this stuff free of charge, in fact they wanna start a business but its already too saturated here.

Also if you haven't gotten the wiring yet, I suggest trying to pick up a $30 Sosche Amp wiring kit off ebay

http://shop.store.yahoo.com/gofast/scosefx8gaug.html

you could get away with 8ga wire, factory ratings for power are always overated, my amp says 600 watts max, each of my speakers say 120 watts max, that'd be about 90 amps of power, watch my battery and alternator explode!

Thanks for ur post, u got some pretty good deals! I bought my two 10" EL1004 subs from Circuit City brand new on the after thanksgiving sale....they were $39.99 each and i got my box for $89.99 cuz it was an open item....and yesterday i picked up the same wiring kit that you suggested for $24.99 at Walmart...now all i need is the amp, my friend is offering me his Kenwood 2-channel amp Model KDC-796S 600Watts for $100 you think this is a good amp?

well before thinking its 600 watts, u have to put into consideration how many ohms the sub is and a number of other things. and kenwood amps r overrated. r ur subs 500 rms or max? its probably max. 600 watts is probably bridged into 2 ohms. if ur subs 4 ohms u'll only probably get 300(claimed) watts when its bridged. pm me if u would like to know more. by the way where u located, if u local im willing to show u and teach u everything

just throw the rated power rating out the window. I'd patch into the rear speakers with a line output convertor and just keep the stock deck powering everything but the subs. Then get a mono/sub amp the EL1500 would do and power the subs. It's more than powerful enough to handle your 10s. Finally got mine all set up and it's overpowering.

Anybody know if Returnbuy.com is a reliable source to get cheap amps? You think it will last long even though it may be refurbished?
