I used either number 7 or number 2 buffing compound then finished with "Lava" brand pumice soap (the green kind in a red bottle).

i polished my motor mount with sand paper (200 grit to 1500 grit) and then used mothers aluminum polish.... this is the result.

Funny you showed that...I spent a good hour and a half today sanding my valve cover, and that same motor mount! cept yours looks a lil better than mine...I concentrated on the valve cover more.

i tried doing the valve cover and all those little curves are driving me nuts! its going to take me a good 2 weeks to polish it

yeh im about ready to say fkuc it and concentrate more on the top part of the 'cover, and less on the little (well..not little when it comes to sanding) curves

This is my 14B turbo. I decided to sell it and get a T25, so I polished it just for fun. It was hard and not fun
hahaha starting to look good though

200, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500.... its a lot of wet sanding. i think it would look even better if you use 2000 grit after the 1500. if u do it post pics
