Need help w/valve adjustment
I am trying to complete a valve adj. on my 91 si. I have read the haynes manual several times and I cannot figure out how to get each cylinder to TDC. Is #1 cyl. next to the timing belt? If so does the order descend 4-3-2-1 away from the timing belt?--Please let me know how to get each cyl. to TDC i want to quiet these noisy valves down .Thanx help a noob yO.
Another way to do it is to stick a long screw driver down each sparkplug hole so that it rest on the piston then rotate to motor slowly untill the screwdriver reaches TDC, be careful not to get it loged in there.
thanx for the input. can u please explain a little clearer u are making no sense to me---cmon people i have my f..kin valve cover off and i need help. thanx

take the spart plugs out... put a long screwdriver where the spark plug would go... turn the crank pulley bolt until the screwdriver reaches the highest point... it should be pretty close to tdc... repeat same process for the other cylinders
Thanx brotha but is there something a little more precise? I am doing this in my garage.--help out a noooooob.
