Need help on tuning!
I recently graduated from high school and I just bought me a 91 hatch. Its the HF model. I really can't afford to go with an engine swap right now so where could I start on tuning my car??? Thanks
There is no such thing as a HF hatch cheif. U own a crx. Regardless whether u own a hf/dx crx or a cx/dx hatch the only "tuning"that is worth doing is routine maintenance. Don't try to make an base model fast because it really won't happen. A cheap swap is the Si motor swap witch goes in fairly easily, if u want exact info on the swap let me know.(d16a6

yea tuning as HF, well its not really tunning. The only thing id'e do to that car is try and make it look nice, that is, if you cant afford a swap. BUT, there are mnay affordable swaps out there.
i am gunna be putting a turbo on my 1.5 dx, the only reason for this is i am getting all the parts i need for cheap and i need it till my project motor gets done
i should be running around 5.5-7 psi of boost daily i will let you know what happens

sorry about the HF thing. I was thinking of the old CRX my bro use to own. I have the STD hatch. I just have a cold air intake and im trying to get a catback exhaust. I think thats pretty much all I can do with the little 1.5 SOHC engine without getting a swap right?
you can do a header, just move the cat from its location now to under the car, short shifter, you can even do a small 5.5 psi turbocharger using your exhaust manifold (www.homemadeturbo.com) there is alot of things you can do, you can also do a MPFI swap which will give you four injectors, instead of the factory 2 with the DPFI system. i am goin to use my stock 1.5 liter motor and see how much boost i can run out of it. like i said before i am shooting for the 300 hp mark with it. but i guess only time will tell and when a piston shall fly.

Your first problem is that your running your hatch on 17's like your SN says...You need to realize that its harder to push or in this case pull something with that big of a wheel radius....If you are going to swap id suggest a Zc swap its cheap and it bolts right in....
